The second I read what the next blog post entailed, I instantly knew what I was going to create. My shape is a heart with some cracks in it with a “fluffy” cloud-like border. I colored it yellow with the cracks being red and blue. I went for a heart because I believe that I have a huge heart, I am extremely empathetic, and I’ve always tended to put others and their needs before mine. I know that’s not the best thing all the time but it’s who I am. I love love and am very open with my feelings. I try and get others to share their feelings as well to help others open up. I made the heart with a cloud-like border because I am also extremely sensitive so my heart has a fragile barrier. I included some cracks in the heart because nobody’s perfect, we all have issues and some pains of the past. I colored in the heart with yellow. Besides yellow being my favorite color, I like to think that I am happy, upbeat, a sunshine-like gal. I like to think that I radiate yellow if that makes sense, happiness, smiles, laughter. I just think yellow is a happy color that inspires others to be their best. I included blue and red cracks in the heart because sometimes the pains involve sadness (blue) or sometimes anger/frustration (red). The fact that the cracks don’t entirely cover the heart shows my perseverance and strength to overcome hardships in life and not let them consume me. I chose to draw and color in my shape because I enjoy drawing and painting. I tend not to be creative so I’m proud of myself for coming up with this and it was soothing and exciting to create something that I am proud of.
